Becca Hughes

Becca was born and raised in Seattle and is a Little Friends alumna! She received her B.A. at Ripon College and her Master’s of Education from Lesley University of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Becca and her husband Nick have a passion for traveling, and love spending time outdoors. Becca’s other hobbies include art and art history, reading, writing, and socializing. Becca is also a mom to three kids: two boys, Spencer and Tristan, and a daughter named Colette (Coco). Becca has been with Little Friends since 1998.

Brie Remily

Brie was born and raised in Seattle and is a Little Friends Alumna! Brie graduated with a BA from the University of Washington and also completed graduate work at Seattle Pacific University in Marriage and Family Therapy (focusing on the relationship between schools and families). Brie is a mom to twin girls, Joey and Caitie. She and her husband (Cliff) enjoy time with family, their three dogs, travel, reading, golf, and socializing with good friends. Brie has been with Little Friends since 1996.

Kari Lemke Hale

Though originally from Wisconsin, Kari is now a tried-and-true Seattleite. Kari and her husband Seth live in Wallingford with their two daughters Ruby and Georgia. As a family they enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling. Kari is also a jewelry designer and spends a lot of time with various artistic endeavors. She was educated at North Seattle Community College and has also taken continuing education credits through the Child Resource Center. This is her 22nd year at Little Friends Preschool.

Lily Kennard

Lily is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. She moved to Seattle in 2017. Before coming to Little Friends, she worked in childcare on Queen Anne. She loves skiing, hiking, and yoga. When she’s not in the mountains, she is exploring Seattle or spending time at one of the lakes. Aside from being outdoors, Lily loves gardening, coffee, and spending time with her rescue pup, Sophie.

Debbie Peterson

Debbie, our former director (and mom to Brie and Becca) has been at Little Friends for over 40 years! After her “retirement”, she has graciously returned to our staff for another year to help us out on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the Snapdragons. When she is not working, she spends time planning her next big adventure both in the US and abroad. With any extra time she has, she can be found spending tie wtching her youngest granddaughter or spending time with friends.

Rosemary Baines

This is Rosemary’s 23rd year at Little Friends Preschool!  She grew up in Lombard, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, and received her teaching degree from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb (home of the other Huskies).  She taught preschool and 1st grade in the Chicago area before moving to Seattle in 1979 where she taught 1st grade and Kindergarten at St. Anne’s before coming to Little Friends in 1989.  Rosemary and her husband Bob have two sons:  Adam and Christopher.  Both were Husky marching band members!  Thanks to them she has become a self-proclaimed “band geek” as well as a big Washington Husky fan!  Rosemary’s other hobbies include watching the Mariners, gardening, walking Greenlake, going to musicals at the 5th Avenue Theater and getting together with friends.

Meghan Wosser

This is Meghan's 3rd year teaching at Little Friends. She has been working with children for 10 years in various capacities: at another preschool in lower Queen Anne, and more recently as a nanny. Meghan was born and raised in the Seattle area. She loves the outdoors and finding new and exciting ways to be creative- both personally as well as in the classroom.
