“G Week”: Golly, we had a Great time!

We often include specific letters when planning our curriculum – “G” week is a great example of how we might go about teaching this particular theme. During “G Week”, we learned about the different looks and sounds of the letter “G“. We learned about Great Britain (castles, the Olympics, and more), Giants (a lesson in which we discussed scale and proportion), and Glaciers, to name a few. ¬†With school well underway, the students at Little Friends are quite busy learning and exploring, and having a Great time doing so!
"G is for Giant" was a lesson on scale and proportion. The students assembled Giants and then adhered miniature self portraits, so they're being held in the giants' palms!
